How we got to $49
Public list prices, 2026: GitHub Copilot Business $19/user/month, Copilot Enterprise $39 plus the required GitHub Enterprise Cloud seat, and Cursor Business $40/user/month. Most developer tooling scales its invoice with headcount even when the work is repository-specific.
$49 per repo is one Copilot Enterprise seat. Every engineer on that repo is included. Five repos is $245/mo. At twenty-five repos the invoice is large enough that volume belongs on a call, not a checkout page.
